In 1952, Finnish designer Kaj Franck changed our understanding of tableware with the launch of a groundbreaking collection. The designer’s pioneering beliefs in sustainability, equality and moderation fueled his revolutionary vision. With the iconic Teema (First introduced as Kilta in 1952. Kilta’s design was revisited and renewed by Franck in 1981 and then re-named Teema), Franck created a collection that embodied his values and set a new standard for tableware. Teema in many ways embodies Franck’s pioneering thoughts about sustainability, equality and moderation. The design’s multifunctionality, simplified forms, combinability and high quality form a collection which has stood the test of time.

iittala
What once happened in a glassworks, in the town of Iittala in Finland, today celebrates generations of basic buildings that enrich our lives. Even today, they believe that objects must be authentic, that they must offer the possibility of combining, multi-purpose, and long-term design that inspires individual use and expression. The progressive philosophy of Finnish design heroes such as Kaj Franck and Alvar Aalto still gives the brand the will to remain relevant. At Iittala, they not only celebrate the beauty of the objects, but also believe in a design that will never be discarded.

At first glance, the Org table by Fabio Novembre seems an unlikely paradox: the top appears to rest atop elements that hang from above, like tendrils.
