Iittala

Founded in 1881 as a glassworks in the Finnish village of Iittala, the brand has grown into one of the most recognized names in Scandinavian design. Over time, Iittala developed its identity through collaborations with leading Finnish designers, creating objects that combine functionality, craftsmanship and a timeless visual language.
While rooted in glassmaking, the collection gradually expanded to include ceramics, metal and other materials. Today Iittala is known for everyday objects designed to last — pieces that remain relevant across generations and continue to reflect the principles of Nordic design.

Brand classics

Ultima Thule

Ultima Thule is one of the most distinctive glass collections produced by Iittala. Designed by Tapio Wirkkala, the textured surface was inspired by melting ice in the landscapes of northern Finland. The collection reflects the brand’s long tradition of experimental glassmaking.

Alvar Aalto Collection

The Alvar Aalto collection remains one of the most recognizable expressions of Scandinavian design. The flowing form of the Aalto vase reflects the architect’s organic approach to design and continues to be mouth-blown at the Iittala glass factory in Finland.

Taika

Taika introduces a more expressive visual language to the Iittala collection. Designed by Klaus Haapaniemi, the series features illustrated patterns inspired by folklore and fantasy. The name Taika means “magic” in Finnish.

Teema

Teema is one of Iittala’s most enduring tableware collections. Designed by Kaj Franck, the series is based on simple geometric forms and reflects the designer’s belief in functional, versatile objects intended for everyday use.
