The heavy iron ensures slow, even cooking both on the stove and in the oven. Enamel surface guarantees easy cleaning and that no flavours stick to the pot. The ingenious curved wooden handle lets one lift the entire pot to the table or only the lid without burning one’s fingers. Makes a truly thoughtful gift.

iittala
What once happened in a glassworks, in the town of Iittala in Finland, today celebrates generations of basic buildings that enrich our lives. Even today, they believe that objects must be authentic, that they must offer the possibility of combining, multi-purpose, and long-term design that inspires individual use and expression. The progressive philosophy of Finnish design heroes such as Kaj Franck and Alvar Aalto still gives the brand the will to remain relevant. At Iittala, they not only celebrate the beauty of the objects, but also believe in a design that will never be discarded.
